A handcrafted Traditional Healing Stick presented on a natural abalone shell engraved with the Hungry Kangaroo signature.
Made by Aboriginal Elders and community members using native Australian plants and traditional knowledge passed down through generations, this unique piece celebrates Australia's rich cultural heritage and connection to Country.
Each Healing Stick contains a blend of carefully selected Australian botanicals including Emu Bush, Blue Bush, Tea Tree, Blue Gum, Wild Rosemary, Australian Sandalwood and Lavender. These plants have long been valued in cultural practices for their cleansing, aromatic and calming qualities.
The natural abalone shell provides a beautiful display base and can also be used as a heat-resistant holder while the Healing Stick is smouldering.
Suitable for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people when used respectfully. This Healing Stick is intended to share knowledge of native Australian plants and Aboriginal culture. It is not a costume, a spiritual shortcut or a way of claiming Aboriginal identity. We encourage everyone to enjoy it with respect for the people, traditions and Country from which it comes.

🌿 EMU BUSH
A highly respected Aboriginal medicine plant traditionally used in cleansing and wellbeing practices. Known for its rich aromatic qualities and long history in bush medicine.
🌿 BLUE BUSH
A native Australian plant traditionally used in cultural smoking practices and bush medicine. Valued for its connection to Country and traditional knowledge.
🌿 TEA TREE / PAPERBARK
One of Australia's most recognised medicinal plants. Traditionally used for its cleansing, soothing and antiseptic qualities.
🌿 BLUE GUM
A classic Australian eucalyptus valued for its fresh aroma. Traditionally used in cultural smoking practices and to support respiratory wellbeing.
🌿 WILD ROSEMARY
A fragrant native herb traditionally appreciated for its calming aroma and natural antioxidant properties.
🌿 AUSTRALIAN SANDALWOOD
A sacred Australian wood prized for its rich, earthy fragrance. Traditionally valued for grounding, reflection and cultural practices.
💜 LAVENDER
Not a traditional ingredient, however many Elders enjoy adding lavender for its gentle floral aroma and relaxing qualities.
